Mustaqbali offering free school uniforms to students

Mustaqbali school children received their new uniforms and stationery through ‘the enhancing access to education for orphan children project– eighth year’ which is implemented by Taawon in partnership with El Wedad Society for Community Rehabilitation in Gaza with fund from Abraaj Group.

The project is considered one of Mustaqbali’s important projects that targets 1041 students from the Gaza Strip to support their learning process in primary and secondary years and to help them continue their education.

Dr. Naem Ghalban, Elwidad chairman, said that such project assists children specifically orphans who has special conditions to cover any gap in their life that could affect their normal lives, adding that their success is an achievement for themselves and for the entire Palestinian community.

Nisma Sayed, project coordinator, explained that the project targeted 1041 children from primary and secondary stages after assessing their needs and preparing a comprehensive database considering their situations. She added that covering their needs guarantees the continuation of their educational journey.

The project arranged with local suppliers to provide the best quality of school uniforms, school bags and stationery. The distribution process was monitored to make sure that all beneficiaries received high quality service with satisfaction.

Yusra Hamad, mother of orphaned children, said “I’m not worried about the clothing or stationery for my children who received excellent uniforms with a lot of kindness from the team!”

Mustaqbali’s program is a holistic 22-year initiative that empowers orphaned children with the skills and opportunities necessary to lead healthy, independent and productive lives.
